दृष्टिर्-लक्षेण by characterizing the contemplation संगताunited with it.
This is one really beautiful shloka from one version of hathayoga pradipika, isn't it? My translation is different and more straight forward than this of Lonavla Institute. It gave me hard time understanding the Instrumenal case in लक्षेण
Perhaps it's only me so bloody crazy to find sanskrit interesting. It's highly contagious!
Any way back on the verse. It indicates us that kundalini is the essence energy of our contemplation. It's not the new-age mumbo jumbo about real fire snakes residing in your sacrum. It's symbolic! Additionally: despite that energy is described luminous as thousand suns, in hathayogic transformation process it takes place of water element. (semen is also luminous and burns the mount of Agni but you wouldn't describe it simply as fire)
Any way yoga is ... complicated and interesting.
